Hello Saint Francis Brass,
This is your mid-week reminder that we have our 2nd rehearsal of the season this coming Sunday at 2:30pm. I hope everyone can join us this week.
At last week’s rehearsal we announced that we have a schedule change on Sunday October 18th. We will be playing at Doug’s funeral at 2:30pm at St. Francis and we will not be playing at the morning service at 10:30am that day.
As John Morrison promised us, he has finished transcribing an arrangement of a Dolly Parton tune, I Will Always Love You, which is now available in your folders on the band google drive.
Here again is the list of music that you should currently have in your binders or on your electronic devices if you use those:
American In Paris – Gershwin
C’Est Si Bon – Betti – Schneider
Exultation (March) – Allen
(The) Impossible Dream – Leigh – Smith
Just As I Am, Without One Plea – Skinner
On A Hymnsong of Philip Bliss – Holsinger – Prentice
Rondeau – Mouret – Graham
Serenity – Ball
Soli Deo Gloria – Himes
Tribute to The Duke – Ellington – Graham * NEW
Valdres March
What Wondrous Love – Court
I will continue to bring printed copies of music that we have from our files but if you have been keeping your own copies, please be sure to bring them.
Also, please be sure to fill out the attendance sheet if you haven’t already done so.
Have a great rest of the week and see you all Sunday!
John Roth
P.S.
One more note for this week: John Morrison has just completed a transposition for one more new piece: The Ashokan Farewell
You can now find this piece available in your google drive folder for Sunday’s rehearsal.
